Perrywood Garden Centre Celebrates Regional Awards Success

Best Indoor Lifestyle RetailerTiptree-based Perrywood Garden Centre has won four awards at the Garden Centre Association (GCA) North Thames Regional Awards; winning the top accolade as well as coming top for innovation & creativity, indoor lifestyle and finalist for The Ruxley Rose Competition.

  • Barton Grange Trophy – Commercial Innovation & Creativity
  • National Finalist in the The Ruxley Rose Competition for Best Plant Area


On Monday 15 July, Tiptree based Perrywood Garden Centre celebrated a night of success at the Garden Centre Association North Thames Regional Awards 2019.


Best Centre AwardPerrywood won four coveted accolades including Destination Centre of the Year for the North Thames region. This is the third year running that Perrywood has been announced as the Destination Centre of the Year, reinforcing the garden centre’s commitment to delivering outstanding experiences for its customers.


Hannah Powell, Communications & HR Director at Perrywood comments: "We are absolutely delighted to have achieved such resounding success at the GCA regional awards last night. To be recognised once again by our trade association is testament to the continued hard work, passion and dedication of the entire team at Perrywood Tiptree."


Finalist for Ruxley Rose CompetitionMembers of the GCA in the North Thames region were given an unannounced audit between March and June, with inspectors scoring them across all departments. The awards are given to those achieving the highest scores.


Perrywood was announced as a finalist for the Ruxley Rose Competition which means it has one of the top ten scoring plant areas within Destination Garden Centres. They will be inspected again in September and joint scores from Spring & Autumn will be used to decide the winner, announced in January 2020. Perrywood currently holds this prestigious award which highlights the excellent quality and range of plants.
